Bond insurance (also known as “financial guaranty insurance”) is a type of insurance whereby an insurance company guarantees scheduled payments of interest and principal on a bond or other security in the event of a payment default by the issuer of the bond or security.

Residual Value Insurance / Managing Asset Value Risk

Residual value insurance helps companies manage asset value risk by guaranteeing that a properly maintained asset will have a specified value at a future date. It is a very flexible tool with benefits that range from simple risk mitigation to complex financial objectives.

Reinsurance

It is a process whereby one entity (the reinsurer) takes on all or part of the risk covered under a policy issued by an insurance company in consideration of a premium payment. In other words, it is a form of an insurance cover for insurance companies.
